Zebras drink in a group and often in a line at watering holes or rivers primarily for safety and to reduce their vulnerability to predators. By gathering together, they create a larger group that can be more alert and vigilant against potential threats. This behaviour allows them to have more eyes watching for danger, increasing the chances of detecting predators like lions or hyenas.
